Joshua Josey Brain Cancer Fund

My son, Joshua Josey was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Brain Cancer - Stage IV on May 30, 2013. A mother's worst nightmare is to hear the words, Your son has Cancer".
Can you survive Brain Cancer, they are telling him no, He wants to prove them wrong, but financially it is getting tough, because he is unable to go back to work at this point and may never be able to.
He is being very positive, because positivity is the Key to enjoying Life.
Shortly after waking up on Memorial Day, 2013 Joshua had a Grand Mal Seizure and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. The hospital was convinced that he was on Bath Salts and that was the reason he was acting the way that he was. They would not listen to me, his Mother, they just wanted to Baker Act him. After 8 hours of being in restraints, the whole time, not allowing me to be back there with him, they finally did a CT Scan and found a Massive Bleed and a Mass and then he was transferred to a better hospital. Within 48 hours his and my life changed drastically. He was kept heavily sedated because of the mass and bleed in his brain. The surgeon on day 4, removed a mass the size of a tennis ball. He only remembers 3 of the 8 days he stayed in the hospital.
Within days of having the 48 staples removed from his head, he started Radiation and Chemo. They did that treatment for 6 weeks, then a month off. He is currently on a high dose of pill form of Chemo with IV Infusions every 2 weeks. The first treatment of this high dose was horrible, he spent the first 2 night violently throwing up. And, trust me when I say their is nothing worst than watching your child go through this and knowing that this treatment might be the only thing that could save him. He had a MRI done this past October and nothing had grown back, in which we are very thankful. He had another MRI a week ago and we are hoping for the same results.
Thank you for listening to my story. I want to Thank my family and friends for their continued support, love and prayers. I believe this is a big part of my son's recovery.
