Keratoconus disease

Donation protected
My son AJ has recently been diagnosed with progressive Keratoconus disorder, which he was born
with. Progressive eratoconus is a corneal disoder in which the normally thins and begins to bulge into a egg-shaped figure. This disease deflects light as it enters the eye on its way to the light-senstive retina, causing distorted vision. If not taken care of it could lead to blindness.

Keratoconus can occur in one or both eyes and often begins during a persons teenage years. As the cornea becomes more irregular in shape it causes progressive nearsightedness and irregular stigmatism.

AJ will have to have a corneal transplant in his right eye which is covered by insurance. His left eye requires a procedure called corneal cross linking,  which is NOT covered by insurance. The cost of this procedure is $6000. He will then be fitted with special contacts, of which you or I could not wear, The cost of these are $2,300.  The doctors DO NOT take monthly payments, so in order for AJ to get this procedure done, the money is needed up front.  I will keep everyone informed of updates.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you feel led to help AJ financially, we would be more grateful then we can ever say. And if not, no pressure. We really appreciate your prayers for wisdom, provision, and calmness through this trying time.

Thank you again for all the prayers.....
