Gunnison/Hinsdale County Access Fund

My friend Owen Tracy and I are entering in the Grand Traverse. A 42 mile back country ski race from Crested Butte to Aspen Colorado. We are hoping to use this event to raise money and build what we are calling the Gunnison/Hinsdale County Access Fund. This fund will be used to help people in our community access mental health and substance abuse services they otherwise could not afford.
Depending on how the fund raising goes, we want to be able to support people afford mental health and substance abuse services, help with transportation, psychiatric evaluations, detox, rehabilitation, veteran services etc. You can choose to contribute anonymously or proudly name yourself. Feel free to leave a comment::it might make us race faster :)
Colorado is ranked among some of the most dire of states in the country when it comes to mental health issues. It has one of the highest suicide rates and the Western Slope has one of the highest rates within the state. Please take a moment to think of the people in your life and community that could benefit from these services and consider donating to this fund.
Owen and I are dedicating the next three months to preparing and training for this event and hope to crush the $3,000 goal we have set.
