Rescue This Gorgeous Afghan Hound

This gorgeous Afghan Hound girl named Pepsi was found in Korea tied to a stake in front of an abandoned house. A stranger came to feed her over a few days, then found the girl collapsed. A local rescue group was contacted. They found the owner who wanted nothing to do with the dog. Then several vets rejected the two-year-old girl who had heartworm and was malnourished and had only a slim chance of survival. Undeterred, the Sharing Love rescue group found a vet in Seoul to take her in and treat her.


Pepsi is making a beautiful recovery. She has gone from wobbly-legged to waggy-tailed. Soon she will be able to fly to the U.S. where Afghan Hound Rescue Southern California will be waiting at the airport to meet her.


There are many costs that need to be covered including heartworm treatments, crates, boarding fees, air transport from Korea to LAX , and spaying.


Afghan Hound Rescue of Southern California is a not-for-profit group that has found loving homes for countless Afghan Hounds abandoned in Korea, Taiwan, Mexico and across the U.S.


Dogs at AHRSC are fed the highest quality food (and treats!). They are kept indoors and have playmates. The Afghan rescues are regularly groomed and bathed and enjoy fully-fenced outdoor room to run, play with squeaker toys and gnaw on knuckle bones. They are not adopted out until the right person or family is found for the dog. Pepsi is such a charmer, it will not take long to find her a permanent home.
