On behalf of my hometown, Catarroja in Valencia, Spain, I’m reaching out to our friends, families, and communities near and far for urgent support. Recently, we faced the devastating effects of a powerful storm system, DANA, which has left many residents struggling with severe flooding and damage to homes, businesses, and essential infrastructure.
In Catarroja, entire families have been forced out of their homes, friends are dealing with flooded properties, and businesses are struggling to recover. Many residents have had to buy their own water pumps to drain flooded garages, a cost no one expected or prepared for. These pumps have been essential to protect not only individual properties but also to prevent the flooding from spreading further and damaging vital infrastructure. Unfortunately, the cost is overwhelming, especially for those already hit hardest by the flooding.
This support is needed urgently—there are families who can’t return home and businesses that may not survive without our help. I’m asking for your support to help cover the costs of damage repairs, emergency resources, and to help people in Catarroja recover, rebuild, and find hope after this challenging time.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. Thank you for standing with us and helping us rebuild Catarroja.
