Volunteering in Malaysia

In the months after the passing of my beautiful daughter Eryn in August of 2012, I had a strong calling to go out and do good in the world. Beginning on June 20, 2014, I will have that opportunity. I will be heading first on pilgrimmage to Mauritius for 2 weeks, then on to the Manjung Hindu Sabha Orphanage in Malaysia where I will live and volunteer for a couple of months. While there I will teach the children what I'm good at- physical fitness, performance arts, and jewelry making. I hope to teach them enough jewelry skills to provide them with their own fundraising abilities long after I have left the orphanage. Your generous contribution will help defray the costs of beading materials, in addition to travel expenses such as airfare and lodgings. Unfortunately I didn't work for quite a while after Eryn passed, while I took some time to begin the healing process. I have been a giver my entire life, so it is hard to ask for help. I hope you think this is a worthy cause that will make you feel good! I am so excited to spend time 24/7 around these beautiful kids, filling my heart with the special love that can only come from a child. I am grateful and humbled by your donation of any amount, big or small. I know Eryn is smiling down on you too!
