YVONNE GREER IS GOING TO BEAT CANCER!!
Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma is an unpleasant subject to talk about and certainly a tragedy to be stricken by his dreadful disease. Not only is this a tragic situation for anyone to find themselves in but it's also as devastating to her family and friends. It is with this in mind that I respectfully ask that you allow me to talk about this unpleasant subject and for a few minutes of your valuable time and attention. A dear friend of mine has recently been diagnosed with this awful disease and it is important that the difficulty that she is experiencing in living with this medical condition be known. This friend's name is Yvonne and she is a devoted and loving single mother of three children. Yvonne is an extremely committed employee whose work ethics are above and beyond.
Yvonne is confronting this with courage and determination and I quite frankly don't know how she can be so driven to continue meeting her obligations with a spirit that is not short of inspiring. I cannot imagine having to go through something like this. Yvonne's situation has broken many hearts and has left those that know her struggling with the question "why". But the world does not stop for anyone or anything and there factors that cannot go unattended such as Yvonne's three children, her household, and many other responsibilities imposed on us by life.
This brings me to the point of this letter and that is to look for ways and to ask for help for Yvonne during her crises to ensure that she is able to sustain an adequate means of living for her and children and for meeting her rapidly increasing medical expenses. It is not an easy thing to reach out to the public for help however it's my way of trying to help this dear friend who I consider to be an Angel for her unselfish giving of herself to others time and time again. "No" is not in her vocabulary when she is given the opportunity to help others and I believe that she deserves to be considered during these very difficult times. She has continuously done so much for others and it's the only just thing to do whatever we can for her. Yvonne and I are long time friends and we are also co-workers in San Jose, California. Yvonne has volunteered to come to my aid without being asked and without hesitation during my own financial and personal struggles, never asking for anything in return. During my mother's fight with cancer that eventually lead to her passing, Yvonne was there for me and my children, assisting me with child care finances and with moral support during a very difficult time in my life. She literally came to my rescue and I want to do for her what she has done for me and others. Yvonne is truly an Angel, put on this Earth to help and comfort those in need and I am extremely grateful for all her blessings.
I have included some other examples of her generosity and heart "“felt reaching out to people. A co-worker of ours was experiencing feeling ill but would come in to work daily. With prodding from us our co-worker finally decided to get medically examined. As the result he was unfortunately diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. Our c0-worker shortly thereafter succumbed to the cancer leaving a 2 year old child and his wife who was pregnant with their second child. During the time of our co-worker was ill Yvonne took it upon herself to request for donations to assist our co-workers family while he was on disability. Our co-workers wife and child received enough financial assistance to see them through their very difficult time and beyond.
Yvonne continued to look after our co-worker's family after his passing ensuring that there was plenty of food on their table during Thanksgiving. Christmas was no different as she made sure the family had a wonderful Christmas with plenty of food and some gifts. Yvonne being a very sensitive and paid an emotional price but she did not fail to ensure that family had everything they needed and some things they wanted. Needless to say our co-worker's family were and remain extremely grateful for all that Yvonne has done for them out of the goodness of heart.

After our co-worker's passing, after Yvonne was diagnosed with her cancer, she continues soliciting help for our co-workers family. I'm sure no one is more grateful to Yvonne that our co-worker who is most certainly looking down over his family.
There are many more examples to illustrate the type of person that Yvonne is and this brings me back to the intent of this letter. As I said before, Yvonne has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. If you google it you will see that this is not something this amazing women, this angel and this mother of 3 boys should ever endure but unfortunately we do not have the ability to control things such as this. We can only try to be as helpful as we can and to do what a person like Yvonne would do for others in the same predicament. Yvonne is a spirit to be reckoned with and she is determined to beat this. But this is not to say that she can't use some help.
With all this said; I am reaching out and asking for anyone who would be willing to help Yvonne in her time of need to please find it in your heart to do so. I ask for your prayers or meditation and due to her increasing medical expenses and to provide for her children's needs any financial help will help enormously. Maintain a place to live and raising three children is very costly and any assistance would be so much appreciated.
Yvonne has started her chemo therapy. I believe today is her 3rd infusion. Her infusions start from 9:00 AM and last till about 2:00 PM. She has been getting nauseated a long with headaches and mild fever, but somehow when I speak with her she is in her usual high and positive spirits, although I'm guessing she is not truly feeling that way. I have FAITH and with support from those willing or able to provide, Yvonne will BEAT CANCER!!!!!
Thank you for taking this time in reading my story about Yvonne. It sincerely means the world to everyone that knows Yvonne, especially those many that she has helped herself. God Bless this wonderful Angel!
