Please help me to support families with CFC kids

Tax deductible
Hi all,

Many of you know that I have been running marathons now for the last 13 years.  I started by running my first one in New York City in 2007.  For that run I was only motivated by self-determination and a belief in myself that I could finish and get under 4 hours.  I accomplished that goal and since that day I have continued to push myself to run more whenever I can.

I have now run a total of 16 marathons, 3 internationally and 13 in different states across the USA.  I have committed myself to completing the 50 state challenge by 50 years of age, which requires running one in each state.  I never thought about doing any fundraising or making my running about a charity event.  Frankly, I didn't like the idea of turning my runs into so dramatic an event since this is something I chose to do and I didn't want fundraising to be a requirement for the run.  This is rarely done with any other sport.

However, this year and this next race is different.  On Sunday March 1st, 2020 I will be running the Atlanta Marathon to complete my marathon for Georgia.  For this race, I have decided to raise money for CFC International, an organization that helps families with children who have CFC Syndrome.  There is a very strong and powerful personal story behind this motivation, but it is not over yet and I don't have the strength to post it here.  Hopefully I will someday.

So please join me in making a difference.  Every dollar donated will go to the international organization.  My goal is modest but if we reach it, it should significantly help a family in need. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
