Cost of Rescue

As most of you know HTH Pets had to take a break and we have been mostly inactive for the past year due to Family issues. We are now back up and running but boy does getting started add up financially! Here is a break down just to rescue one weeks worth of deserving dogs:


Fuel to pick up dog food donations - $150
Case of Missing Link Supplement - $178
Antibiotics and Vaccinations - $147
Cost to rescue puppies from Craigs List less donations - $190
Cost of fuel to/from Vet, Transport and Foster Homes - $100
Revolution - $133
4x Puppies initial examination, rabies and fecal - $90
De Wormer - $120
Micro Chips - $150+


This of course does not include administrative supplies such as stamps to mail bills, paper or ink to copy vetting and health certs for foster homes, bleach/vinegar/laundry detergent for daily loads of puppy blankets, paper towels or cleaning supplies.


So total cost of rescue in just one week exceeds $1,258. 6x puppies have their first check up on Saturday and we have 2 more dogs arriving with in the next 2 weeks.
