It Takes a Village to Raise a Child

Recently, more and more children have been hurt, neglected, abused, missing or worse. In most cases, these incidents could have been prevented if there were more laws supporting extended family members, such as, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, etc. who are willing and capable of better caring for the child/children. However, due to the law, extended family members have been overlooked or financially at a disadvantaged with court cost and attorneys to be able to gain custody of the child/children and in most cases it becomes too late.

Unfortunately, these children are then placed in the system when they don't need to be and most times the state will return the child/children back to the place in which they were mistreated. Currently, DSS has no problem placing this severely abused child back in the environment. This is an outrage and should NEVER happen.

I'm asking for donations to assist a family member who is desperately trying to gain physical custody of a family member who has been notably abused and neglected but the state is failing them terribly. This family member must pay for court costs and an attorney while on a fixed income. An attorney has been selected but a container fee must be paid before proceedings can begin. In the mean time, the child can be placed back into the negative environment or in the system which has been failing them from the very the beginning.

Please find the compassion and love to assist with such a worthy cause and help save this child's young life from destruction.  All monetary donations will go towards all legal fees to help save this child.
