On Sunday July 30, 2017 she was attacked by two vicious loose dogs in our yard. Fortunately my wife heard commotion and ran to save Sasha, who was being carried off by one of them. Sasha was taken immediately to our local vet with Sunday hours. She was in bad shape the vets did not think she would make it. She was cleaned and stapled up (64) then rushed to a more advanced surgery center where she spent 5 days in ICU. Today she had to go back into surgery to have skin that had died removed and AVCS (vacuum closer) surgery performed.
We have spent hours at ICU with her and will be there again and support her through the long recovery of such a traumatic event. We are not sure how long this will take but know she is the cutest, sweetest, toughest 8 pound dog we have known.
Thank you to the Vets, Surgeons and Technicians involved in her care at Sierra Veterinary Specialist in Reno NV
If you can help thank you, if not please pray for Sasha’s recovery.
Pictures of her after initial wound closre on 7/30/17.
