Sophie Raney is a 6 year old kindergarten student at Manteo Elementary School. She lives with her Mom, Kelly Raney, Dad, Billy Raney and brothers Joseph and Jackson. Sophie was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease and is followed by doctors at UNC Pediatric Kidney Center. She has had her right kidney removed at 2 years old and her left kidney is rapidly decreasing in function. She will need a kidney transplant very soon. She hopes to receive a kidney from her mother, Kelly.
