Because Life...

In April 2017, my mom was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and our world collapsed before our eyes. Breast cancer does not run in our family so this came as a complete shock to us all.  The prognosis was positive and we have no doubt in our mind that she will and continue to kick cancer's ass. She has gone through 8 treatments of chemotherapy and will undergo her mastectomy in October followed by radiation in the coming months. We have seen first hand what cancer can do to a person's spirit but she has been so resilient through it all. She has no idea how much of an inspiration she has been to all of us. 

The emotional and financial burden of surviving breast cancer is a challenge (to say the least). For those of you know my mom, Myrna, she is the most generous, funny, kind hearted, feed you til you drop, best salsa and queso maker, courageous, smart, fun loving,  (the list goes on) all around great human you will ever meet. She has been helping others her whole life and now its our time to help her get through this. 

This is where you and this fund come in. The medical bills continue to add up and we are reaching out to our amazing and supportive network of family and friends to help, in any and every, shape or form. We are selling "BECAUSE LIFE" hats for $25 and 100% of the proceeds will go to her. *If you would like to purchase a hat, please message us your address and we will send it via USPS.* Any other donation is greatly appreciated and will be a huge help to Myrna during the next few months.

Please also note that any funds collected that my mom does not end up needing to cover the costs outlined above will be donated to causes that help the other women and men bravely battling cancer around the country.
