Hi! My name is Jake Anders. First off I wanted to give an update on how I am doing. As you all know almost a year ago I was diagnosed with my 2nd round of brain cancer. I was able to get the treatment I needed in Cincinnati after we got on the news and so many of you shared my story. Thank you! Since I have had my proton treatment I got into a trial study in Cincinnati and my tumor has been shrinking. No one thought I would still be here but God knew better. Thank you to all that gave to make me going to Cincinnati possible.
As many of you know my mom is on an LVAD because she needs a new heart and she gets me to all of my treatments. We found out that my dad needs a knee replacement before the end of the year, so I have set up this fundraiser to help the 6 weeks he is off, because he does so much for us and is the only one able to work. My friend Marcy is helping me, she is having a huge garage/estate sale at her house Friday and Saturday. I will be set up 10-3 selling hot chocolate and cookies to help raise funds to cover the cost of bills and my medicine while my dad is off.
Marcy and I also set up a go fund me Incase someone is out of town or can’t stop by and just wants to give.
We used all of the last money to help with my treatment, and any donations I get at the hot chocolate stand will not be wasted.
You will find me in the green and white tent at 14 S Tocovi Ct in Brownsburg both Friday and Saturday. Please share this post and most of all thank you for the support and prayers.
Dad won’t be happy I am doing this, but after it posts it will be too late. :). He has enough to worry about with me and my mom, so I don’t want him worrying about bills while he is off.
