********************************************* Last night we lost an incredible, perfect angel. Said was only 8 years old. This all started when at the age of 3 he was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. His mother, Argentina, had to immigrate In November of 2018 to the United States since in her country, Honduras, there was no treatment available for her child’s condition. With the help of many good people, Said and his mother were able to get to Houston Texas, where Said started treatment to fight the cancer. Said won many battles, had survived the harsh journey to reach the United States, undergone hours of chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant and even rang the bell that declared him cancer free - this little angel was a real champion. The death of Said took us all by surprise, after a successful bone marrow transplant the doctors had declared him cancer free. Unfortunately, this did not last long. The cancer returned for a final time. This time however our little champion did not recover. We find ourselves unable to understand this loss. There is not a single word that describes the pain a mother must feel after the loss of a child. And worst of all to find herself utterly alone in a country she doesn't know. Said's father decided to give up on them during this difficult and crucial time. He left them half way through the fight. Argentina is currently desolated in a Houston hospital without family, friends or even the slightest idea of what to do with her child's body. We ask of your collaboration in raising funds to help Argentina pay for the necessary paperwork and arrangements to transfer and to put her sons body to rest at home with family in Honduras as well as help pay for any funeral expenses. Anyone who has lost a loved one knows how terrible it is to deal with finances and paperwork during such a painful time. Please consider donating to help Argentina during her grief. Argentina and her son have been an inspiration to many and more importantly, a loving reminder of how far goodness and humanity can go in such a world that can be so dark. Argentina and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. *********************************************
