kristina vs hodgkins

I'm in the biggest fight of my life. I have been diagnosed with hodgkin's lymphoma on Christmas eve. I'm not looking for sympathy or attention. I just need as much love and support as i can get. Also to have people read my story, tell others, and hopefully inspire others. 

     I've always been a strong individual. when i was 7, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis in my whole body. It was hard being a kid with arthritis, couldn't get out of bed in the morning or not being able to move or do sports. Nothing a normal kid could do. I even had to be homeschooled one year in high school because it got so bad.

    Now at the age of 21, I'm diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. It's been pretty scary to go through. I have large masses on my neck that cause me a great amount of pain most days and makes me feel like i'm not beautiful. some days my lymphnoids are bigger than other days. nobody ever wants to hear the words, "you have cancer," but i know what i have to do and go through. i've prepared myself.

     I got plenty of tests done. I also had a lympnoid removed in January. The 20th of March I had a port put in my chest and start my first round of chemotherapy on the 21st. I've prepared myself and I'm ready to fight and beat this. 

     It's very stressful, especially that I can't work right now. I love my job at raceway park but since I'm going through this. I figured I'll sit this season out. I miss everybody so much but I'll be up and back at the track next season!!
