Help Save My Heart

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Simone, I am a 35-year-old young woman from Jamaica. I am a mother of 4 ages 5,8,11, and 15. And I was born with a rhythmic heart disease. I did my first surgery at the age of 6 at the Stony Brooke Hospital for children in New York. It was a success. I was living a normal happy life until I reached high school. In 2004 at the age of 17, I started to develop swelling in the left side of my face and neck. upon examination at the hospital, I found out that one of my pulmonary valves was blocked and needed another surgery. Mr. William Foster reached out to his friends and colleagues to seek help from The Gift of Life Program and the Rotary Club of Indianapolis, Indiana, where I underwent surgery to repair my valve at the Riley for Children Hospital. The second one was also a success. I went back home to Jamaica and continued to live my life. keeping up with my regular checkups at the University Hospital of the West Indies. Everything was going well until 3 years ago. In 2020 I was diagnosed with heart failure. After being admitted to the hospital with chest pain and shortness of breath, it was confirmed through an echocardiogram, that my valve I had replaced over 18 years ago is now leaking and needs to be replaced. I am seeking $217,000 to help save my life so I can be here to watch my kids grow up.

Thank you all for your kindness and generosity.
