Alaskan Orphan Moose Calf Rescue

Donation protected
The Alaska Moose Conservation Fund also known commonly as the Alaska Moose Federation (AMF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is dedicated to protecting one of North America's largest wild animals, the Moose.

Hundreds of moose calves are orphaned in Alaska each year due to the tragic death of their mothers.  The moose calving season is just 100 days away (early May) so this doesn't leave much time to get ready to rescue the first crop of orphan moose calves in 2014.  Each moose is rescued by trained AMF personnel under veterinarian oversight, transported to our one of a kind rearing facility in Willow, Alaska, the babies are given food medicine and 24 hour care, and in late August the orphan moose calves are healthy and strong, collared and released back into the wild resulting in a 75% success survival rate.  With your support these orphaned moose calves will not meet the same fate as their mothers.
