Family Mission Trip To Nicaragua
This May, we will be traveling to Nicaragua with Amigos for Christ to help families gain access to clean water and bathroom facilities. Currently, an incredible 32% of Nicaraguans lack clean water and bathroom facilities. Every day, these families consume water that leads to chronic diarrhea and intestinal parasites. The lack of clean water also causes skin diseases, and the open pit latrines attract bugs that spread diseases like malaria. These conditions make for a very hard life for the people of Nicaragua, and God has called our family to help alleviate some of these afflictions.
As a family, we are raising $4,000 for this trip. This includes airfare and two weeks of accommodations through Amigos for Christ (meals, a place to sleep, and in-country travel).
-We desire for Nicaraguans to praise God for the work being done in their villages.
-We ask for eyes to see poverty and injustice clearly.
During this trip, we will help Amigos for Christ partner with the people of Nicaragua to:
-Dig trenches for water lines to bring fresh water from nearby sources (over the course of one summer, Amigos dug a 6-mile trench for a new waterline!)
