Suede's Soldiers

UPDATE: Suede came home for 2 days but dead tissue fell off and revealed a giant hole in his hip.  We took him back and he has been there another 2 weeks!! Our bills are totaling around $12000

Suede is our oldest and we love him dearly. On Wednesday, January 15, 2014 our world was turned upside down. Suede was attacked by another dog. We rushed him to the Coweta Animal Hospital. They were closed for lunch but luckily there was still a vet in the office. She dropped everything and helped our baby. They took some x-ray and did some blood work, the results were quite terrifying. His... chances were not good. The vet said that he needed a surgeon because there was a possible tear in his esophagus and a possible puncture of the abdominal cavity. She called a local vet hospital but their surgeon was on vacation. Our next option...Auburn University Vet Hospital. We rushed there and they took him back on a stretcher. The resident for our case came out and told us that he might have a chance but it was going to be expensive. Our estimate was $6,000-$8,000. But when it is the life of your child you will do anything at any cost. Suede was in surgery for around 6 hours. He is still recovering slowly but surely and we all have faith.
