Loving Support for Lauren, Kyla, Eoin

On January 19, 2014 everything changed for Lauren and her two children, 5 year-old Kyla and 2 year-old Eoin. Jeff Sage, 33 year-old devoted father and loving husband, died of a sudden heart attack and at that moment, everything changed.
This fundraising effort is established to create some financial stability for Lauren and her children as they try to heal from this profound loss and find a new normal.
To know Jeff was to love him. There are the formal reasons to be humbled by Jeff, like the fact that as a committed member of the National Guard, he served in Iraq when his daughter Kyla was a brand new baby. There were the long hours he worked each week as a TSA agent at Philadelphia Airport to support his family. Jeff would get up, while it felt like the rest of the world slept, to be able to get out of work in time to get his kids, and others, from school each day, while Lauren works.
But then there were the less "official" reasons to love Jeff, and there were so many…there was the fact that every single time you asked Jeff how he was doing, his signature response was a hearty "Stellar!". There was the fact that he was never frayed, no matter how many times he had to chase a young runaway toddler down the block (so, so many times). There was the fact that Jeff welcomed his mother when she came to live in the home of his young, growing family. There was the fact that Jeff lit up like a child himself when talking about his plan this summer for their first ever "real family vacation".
This fundraising effort is not just for Lauren and the kids, it's also for Jeff. We hope that you know, somehow, that we are committed to making sure that despite this heartbreak, Lauren and Kyla and Eoin will be okay. Your home will be okay. We will make sure your family is supported and you are honored. We love you all.
