Curt’s Medical Expenses

Donation protected
On August 2nd, my sister received a phone call nobody wants to get. On the other end of the line was a gentleman named John, telling her that my dad had been in a motorcycle accident and was being rushed to the ER. My dad, Curt Ellis, was riding his motorcycle on what was supposed to be a nice relaxing ride. It soon went from a relaxing motorcycle ride to nearly losing his life from a hit-and-run. He was in Cleveland, going southbound on interstate 71, when a vehicle hit him and sent him flying into a guardrail. The witnesses who stopped to help my father said the person that hit him made a U-turn cutting over onto the opposite side heading north and sped away without even looking back. They hit my dad and then left him there, not knowing if he was dead or alive. My dad is now in the ICU; his jaw is broken in 6 places, most of his teeth are broken, bad road rash, huge gash in his arm and his hand has several broken bones. My dad has undergone 2 surgery’s now and may or may not have to have anymore, his hand now has 2 plates and 4 pins in it, his mouth is wired and has plates and screws and most of his teeth are messed up. My dad is a machine operator, so he is unable to work until he makes a full recovery, and insurance will not cover the cost of all the required surgeries. As you can imagine, the medical bills will be piling up, at this point, we really don’t know how we are going to afford everything. If anyone is able to help out, it would be greatly appreciated. I know everyone has bills of their own, so please don’t feel bad if you can’t spare anything right now. You can still help just by sharing this to get the word out. I am so thankful to the people that stopped to help my dad. John, a Hells Angel, and another man, who was a prior Marine, and some nurses and some other people called for help, and stayed with my dad until the ambulance arrived. Without people taking the time out of their day to help, my dad might not have survived.
