A mission trip has been a desire that has been on my heart for some time now. An opportunity has been placed in front of me to be able to fulfill this desire and I have decided to use this opening to let God use me as He wants. Currently the only "barricade" is the finanical funding and I know with prayer, support, and Faith that God will provide. Any donations will be greatly appreciated!
Touching Hearts Mission Trip
The trip is scheduled for July 3rd through July 12th, 2014. We will leave from RDU on July 3rd and return on July 12th. This outreach is being called "Touching Hearts" and we willl be working at the Uzwelo Children's Home in Piet Retief, South Africa. Currently Uzwelo serves 50 orphan, between the ages of 3 to 17, by providing for the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of these children. One of the goals of our trip is to go and serve alongside the staff and volunteers that are touching these young lives day by day.
We will also work with the Uzwelo Rural Orphan Care project, where they serve over 600 orphans that live in the rural villages outside of town. We pray that our time there will also encourage, strengthen, and renew those whom God has called to care for these orphans fulltime.
We know that the Holy Spirit will also do great work in our hearts as we go to share His unconditional love. For more information about Uzwelo Children'ss Home you can visit www.wellspring.org.za/uzwelo
