On December 1st I was at a party and got punched in the face by a guy who I didn't know. Guys that I didn't know were grabbing me and I told them to let me go and to leave me alone and they wouldn't. I was swinging, hitting, and scratching to get them off of me. The guy who hit me pushed me and I went to swing back to defend myself, but I had a broken foot and tripped over the medical boot I was wearing, well when I got back up he punched me in the face and I got knocked out. Well I ended up missing 4 of my top front teeth, and a broken wrist.
I knew no one at the party, my cousin told me to meet her there and sent someone to pick me up, but when I arrived she had left with people. I was stuck there alone and that's when this happened. I don't have medical or dental insurance, I've been out of work for going on 2 months now, and I've been having to pay this out of pocket. My dad, and my grandmother have been helping me out so much but I know they can't afford it. Because the bills just keep piling up. I've already had one out of 3 surgeries I have to have. 1 out of the 4 teeth that have been knocked out the root tip was still in my gums, I also had a fractured skull and had to get a bone graft, so that my implants will be able to stay. If I didn't get the root tip out I ran the risk of an infection and could have died from it. Just that surgery was $2,400.
I have to get a temporary flipper for my mouth so I can actually go out in public and start working again. I smiled all the time before this, but I can't anymore because it's so embarrassing. The temporary flipper costs $500. I have over $5,000 in hospital bills from this. My implants are also ranging from $2,200-$8,400. All of my surgeries are going to take a total of 8 months. I'm not going to set the goal for that full amount because that's probably just unrealistic.
I'm making this go fund me to see if anyone can help me at all.
I am pressing charges against him, I have been assigned a private investigator, but I haven't heard anything back yet. That doesn't stop my life and the bills that are already due. So that's why I've created this. Anything truly is appreciated.
