I work in a Title One elementary school in Baltimore, MD. A former students family is currently in a financial crisis. Their family is facing eviction in days. These children are being raised by a hardworking single mother who does everything in her power to make ends meet without looking for assistance. They are asking for a loan to keep the eviction process at bay. I would rather come to them with the funds as a donation to help break this cycle and give them a clean slate.

Edited to update. I sent her the money to pay the past due rent today and the landlord accepted it. They will not have to attend rent court in the morning!! She is extremely grateful and sends blessings for all.
