My name is Jasmyne, and the babe in the picture is my best friend, Olivia. Olivia would NEVER ask for help. And that’s what’s making her sick. Her state insurance won’t pay for the tests that are needed to diagnose her ongoing issues surrounding her health. We, her friends, have decided to step in. We aren’t willing to see her suffer with her health, because we are afraid of making her mad by setting this up. LOL she is so stubborn and full of pride with this type of thing. She doesn’t want anyone to feel “sorry” for her. We’ve all had struggles. Being alone or alienating yourself isn’t healthy. Let’s support her through this!!!!

A little about Olivia:

Olivia is one of the most loving and kind people I have ever met. Besides being a good friend who never judges or criticizes you, she would do anything for anyone of her friends. She is a lifelong vegetarian and an avid animal rights and mental health advocate. She is one of the smartest, funniest and talented humans I have ever met. She is the best mom on the planet. Her son knew all his elements before he could walk. LOL. She has been in 100% as a mom and it amazes me at how dedicated she is. Even with bad health. Before her health declined, she was an Esthetician who loved her job. She loved doing side gigs as a very gifted special effects make-up artist or working with animal rescue groups. She is well-known in CA for all the work she has done advocating for animals. She always uses all her connections to help people succeed. She is always thinking of others before herself.

Olivia has had a pretty hard time. She lives in FL. with her fiancé but, he has had to take a lot of time off of work to help her care for their 4 year old since most days she can’t get out of bed. She spends most of her days in bed with the heater right next to her, or in a hot bath. She has good days here and there but, most are a struggle. After being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and Fibromyalgia, she has resorted to living in sweaters and her bed. Her health isn’t improving and we need to figure out just what is going on. Olivia has suffered many family losses in the past years with her mom being the hardest. I don’t believe she has come out of her depression from that loss and everything else has just compounded it. The only thing that keeps her going is her love for her baby boy and her fiancé. She has 2 cats that her and her fiancé care for, both who are very sick and need help as well. They care for the cats and the kid, before themselves.

Their whole goal is to eventually relocate to Oregon at some point (whatever isn’t used for her medical will go towards their move), where friends to help her are closer, and the weather is easier on her body. But for this to happen, Alex needs to be able to work more. His family lives semi-close and has been extremely helpful during the roughest of times but, for Alex and Olivia, it sucks to have to constantly rely on other people as your sole support (it is for anyone!). They are extremely grateful and appreciative of their help but, want to relieve them of the responsibility. And rightly so. It’s a heavy responsibility.

This is where we come in. She hates asking for any kind of help (and SHE doesn’t have any family to pay for this or help her out) but, she’s not asking. I am. Anything helps and I am in tears writing this because I don’t live close enough to go help her. That kills me. Anything you can spare will help. $1, $5 or $20. It will all go to a good cause.
