We are Kim and Charra, and we are seeking support for a dear friend and generous cake artist, Leslie Vigil.

Leslie bears many titles: mother, wife, friend, artist, author, mentor, and enthusiastic cheerleader. Since her first Instagram post in 2012, she's been a hugely supportive fixture in the global caking community.

She applauds loudly for plant culture, for craft, and ultimately for the many students who have flocked to her blooming buttercream garden. Every day, Leslie celebrates her thriving and connected community.

Very recently, Leslie has come face-to-face with a surprising and terrible health diagnosis, one that has prompted the cancellation of sold out classes and the forfeiture of her education-based business. To avoid burdening her clan, she has not overtly asked for help ... because her instinct is always to give, and not to receive.

But we, as her friends and fans, feel the need to reach out.

Mounting medical bills are not easily accommodated by an artist’s income, and so we ask for your help. Donations will go directly to Leslie and her family.

With your support, we hope to alleviate the pressures of home finances, of copays and out-of-pocket expenses, we wish to gift delivered meals when energy is low, to pay for groceries when energy presents, to buy gas, to pay bills, to cover medications and to allow Leslie time to dream of what's more to give, versus what's more to pay.

Our goal is to allow Leslie to focus on her healing. She wants more than anything to lift up her students ... but now is the time we need to lift HER up!
