Camden is a 6 year old boy who loves his 2 brothers, sister, mom, dad and all his family very much. He is a typical boy that loves playing video games. He can be a bit shy and he is very sweet! Camden's parents are both veterans and his father is still actively serving in the U.S. Army. They are very proud to be a military family!
Camden experienced pain in his legs and problems climbing stairs. His parents knew something wasn't right. After a few trips to his pediatrician and a visit with a specialist, their worst fear was confirmed. He was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This is so devastating to Camden's family. DMD is a debilitating disorder that causes progressive loss of muscular function and weakness that begins in the lower limbs. There is no cure for DMD and doctors can only treat the symptoms of the disorder, which can include paralysis and respiratory issues. It is life threatening condition.
Camden asked his parents for a new bunk bed so he can share a room with his brother, Ty. He knows he can't have the top bunk because his legs are "sore" and offered it to his brother instead. Let's make Camden's wish come true and bring a smile to his face by making this dream come true!
Any donation you make, will go toward Camden's dream bed that he picked out himself from Rooms To Go. Cynthia Dawson has created this fundraiser for the McAlpine family.
