Help Send Laura to Costa Rica!

This Spring Break, I am hoping to cross one item (out of many) off of my bucket list and travel to Costa Rica on my very first mission trip. This trip would mean so much more to me than simply being able to take my first flight. By embarking on this adventure, I am going to have the opportunity to spend my Spring Break doing what I love the absolute most--enriching the lives of children by showing them the simple joys of this world. I am going to be able to play soccer with them, educate them in various school subjects, and show them that the fun of arts and crafts is something that never leaves you, no matter how old you get. I want to use this week of my life to spread God's light and glory in a place that is completely foreign to me. I have been praying that after the week is spent working my absolute hardest for these people, that I am able to leave something behind for them. I want them to remember my visit and see Jesus in that memory. It is so important that they understand how loved they are by people who don't even know them, because that understanding might just lead them to an even bigger understanding of God's love for them. I am most definitely a little afraid to take such a significant step out of my comfort zone. However, as Franklin D. Roosevelt wisely points out, the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
