Team Peters

In July 2020,  our brother Mike Peters was diagnosed with a rare form of Lymphoma/Leukemia.   

Since then,  Mike has spent nearly 70 days in hospitals receiving treatment for his illness and remains at the University of Michigan Medical Center today attempting to recover from his latest treatment.  An experimental approach known as  Car T Cell Therapy.  So far, Mike has been thru 4 rounds of intense chemotherapy.  The Doctors and Nurses at U of M have been amazing and we have been so thankful for their efforts as they work to control this rare and deadly cancer.    

As many people can appreciate,  Mike is a business owner as well and the COVID-19 Pandemic has been tough for all small businesses.  Mike is a family man with a wonderful caring wife and 2 beautiful teenage kids.   Most important to Mike is to keep things as normal as humanly possible for those people around him, especially his kids. 

Our hope for Mike, Colleen, MJ & Ellie and our entire family is that he will recover enough to be able to undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant that we pray will save his life.   As has been the case since the beginning of this for Mike,  the remainder of his battle is sure to be long, painful,  frustrating and hard.   

We sincerely appreciate all of the support given to this point from friends, family and beyond.   However,  with so many of you still asking and wanting to help,  we are very proud and grateful to begin this fundraiser on behalf  of Mike and his family.  

Donations to the Team Peters fund will go to support Mike and the challenges that lie ahead for their family.   

We do wish for this to be a private fundraising event rather than a public one that  on is shared on Social Media.   Instead,  please e-mail the link below to anyone you know that would probably like to help Mike and the family make it thru this difficult time. 

On behalf of our entire Peters family,  thank you all very much for your love, support and encouragement!  We remain VERY optimistic that Mike will beat this terrible disease and once he does,  our family will be as committed as ever to raising awareness and supporting Cancer research.
