Naomi Strong

On July 12th 2018 sweet 11 month old Naomi Hindman was diagnosed with Krabbe Disease. Krabbe disease (also called globoid cell leukodystrophy) is a severe neurological condition. It is part of a group of disorders known as leukodystrophies, which result from the loss of myelin (demyelination) in the nervous system. Myelin is the protective covering around nerve cells that ensures the rapid transmission of nerve signals. Krabbe disease is also characterized by abnormal cells in the brain called globoid cells, which are large cells that usually have more than one nucleus. We encourage people to research what Krabbe disease is and make it more aware in SC. Pray that God heals this sweet baby girl. We serve a God that is so big and still works miracles everyday and we are asking that everyone joins with us in prayer. Pray for healing, pray for peace and comfort for her and also for her parents Mike and Christian, pray that God would wrap His arms around them and give the strength only He can give during these hard times. Christian has decided to stay home with Naomi and work as she can, the last thing we want is for her and Mike to have to worry about supporting their family with one income along with added medical expenses. We are adding a go fund me page in this group so that everyone that would like to help support them can do so.
