Cancer Fund for Hanadi Bajalia

Hanadi is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Pluero Pulmanary Blastoma (PPB) on Jan 13, 2014 for the second time. She was diagnosed the first time when she was 3 and a half. She had surgery to remove the mass and cist afterwards doing 8 months of chemo and given a "Cancer free" report from the doctors last January, 2013. The cancer is a rare genetic cancer that is located in the left chest cavity. There is a mass the size of a grapefruit and it is in 5 ribs this time.Unfortunately PPB does not respond to chemo or radiation the second time around. Her only option at this time is a surgery called a "Resection".This will entail the removal of the 5 infected ribs, the mass and the lower lobe of the left lung which has been dysfunctional since her last bout with PPB and the reconstruction of the 5 ribs. The surgery will be performed in Texas Children's in Houston; one of the 4 locations that do this surgery nation wide. Hanadi's father is in the Army and was brought home on Dec 22, after 8 and a half months of service in Afghanistan. The family are in Las Vegas at this time due to her mom going there to stay with her family while Hanadi's father was deployed. Hanadi has a twin sister, Nailah and younger brother Macci who is 3. Due to this being a genetic cancer the entire family will be undergoing testing. Although this family has insurance, there are many other costs involved for treatment, recovery, meds, travel expense and long term care that insurance will not provide.
