Bring Home Baby Whittle

That’s right! WE ARE ADOPTING! It is official now, we have spent years dreaming, prayed for the right timing and waited for God to let us know, and here we are! Y’ALL: We are feeling all of the things currently... we are anxious, we are thrilled, we are overwhelmed, we are bursting with excitement, and mostly we are 100% ready welcome a new little life into our wild and wacky house. Our girls have been so awesome and completely happy about this... and we’ve had a lot of fun conversations about baby names and who will help with what ... (Anna Kate says mommy should always get the diapers ) For the specifics, we are using an adoption consultant and right now we are about 80% of the way through our home study with “Hope for Adoption” out of Canton. After our home study is complete in 2-3 weeks, we could be matched at any point! Most families wait 6-10 months for a match, but we were told a family with our similar timeline last year had a baby before Christmas .... So really there is no telling (OH. MY. HEAVENS. ). We are adopting a newborn baby from somewhere in the US. Skin tone, boy or girl, we don’t mind ... we know God has orchestrated all of those details for us! (Although Callie is convinced our little one should be purple ) We covet everyone’s prayers as we tackle the MOUNTAINS of paperwork, the potential heart ache, the overwhelming joy, and everything in between. We have always believed that the success of our family relies on utilizing the support of our amazing “village” of friends from church, family, school, work and so many more. Scripture says we are better together and this mama couldn’t agree more. Obviously we are doing SO MUCH research about adoption grants and we are developing some fun plans to raise money over the next couple of months. For those of you who don’t know ... private infant adoptions cost between 25K-30K . I’ll be 100% transparent... we DO NOT HAVE THAT MONEY... not even close. However, we really do believe that if “God calls you to it, He will bring you through it” ... so, we know God has us covered financially and we are moving forward and trusting His provision.
