Paying it FORWARD to Doryne Hynds

By now most of you know that Doryne was diagnosed just before Christmas with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. The prognosis is grim, and the diagnosis has devastated her, and her family.

Doryne has worked for years tirelessly, to pay it forward to her community. If you're of Jennifer, Greg, or Dan's generation then you may have had her as a substitute teacher when you were in school. Since her days working in the public school system she has gone on to work at a homeless shelter. It wasn't unlike her to give these people she was caring for money out of her own pocket, for taxi rides or a few essential items they might have needed. She also has been working as a home health aide for the elderly. Doryne has always made it a point to be involved in her community and help those who needed the help most.

So now we are calling on the community around her to pay it forward to her. Since her diagnosis she has not been able to work full time at her two jobs like she was before. She began Chemo on January 10th this year. It is very aggressive and she hasn't been feeling well. She will endure chemo for 8 hours every 3 weeks. Her lack of employment has effected her insurance coverage, and medical bills are piling up. She was without coverage during the time of diagnosis, so all of the medical testing she had done will have to be paid out of pocket. Although she now has 'Obama Care' the co-pays and monthly dues are extremely high. As a family we have all pulled together but there is only so much we can do.

We are asking that you- our friends, and family near and far, please help and pay it forward to Doryne. IF you could donate any amount it will be greatly appreciated. Doryne has a very tough road ahead of her and if we could make this one thing a little easier on her it will all be worth it. Doryne has her husband Buddy (of 34 years!!), her three Children, and her NINE grandchildren by her side through these tough times also, to help this road be a little less bumpy.
