Casie's Car Crash

During the afternoon of Thursday December 28th, 2017, misfortune struck the Johnson family in the form of a horrific car accident near Hager City, WI. Casie was on her way to work when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle, leaving her with many very serious injuries.
Casie was airlifted to Regions hospital and was there for 6 weeks. During this time, she had multiple surgeries to put “Humpty Dumpty” back together again. She had surgeries on both ankles, right arm, neck, back, and was in a halo for a couple of weeks. She still needs lots of dental work. Her injuries will takes months to heal (it’ll be another 8 weeks before she is even able to put any weight on her ankles). Scott was not able to work while Casie was in the hospital.
Casie is fortunate that she has insurance that will pay for many of her hospital expenses, but she and Scott will face more expenses than the insurance will cover. Casie will be out of work for months and Scott will need to continue to greatly reduce his work hours in order to help Casie.
Casie was fortunate to be able to go home on February 7, 2018; but this came with additional costs as Scott had to buy equipment and supplies in order for Casie to be at home. Casie is not able to fully take care of herself, so someone needs to be with her 24 hours a day. It's a full time job. In fact, Scott and Casie’s family had to take training to learn how to take care of Casie at home.
The money from this fund will go directly to Casie and Scott to relieve the economic burden of medical bills and not being able to work.
