My name is Carmen and I have been given an amazing opportunity to be involved in a one month volunteering expedition in the summer of 2020 with Camps International. Working on life-changing projects for the local communities and protecting the wildlife. I hope to fundraise £4000 to enable me to go on this amazing trip. 42% of this money goes to fund the local economy, community projects, wildlife and conservation schemes, enriching the lives of the people of Kenya. The majority of people in Kenya live below the poverty line and access to clean water, proper sanitation, healthcare and education is very limited or none at all in some places. Project work could involve low level construction work, painting class rooms, building desks, teaching pupils, playing sports with the locals. Digging elephant watering holes which will help the elephants survive the dry season.
