<div>On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa, a powerful Category 5 storm, made landfall in Westmoreland, Jamaica, the community where my family lives. The hurricane caused unimaginable destruction — homes were torn apart, power lines and roads were wiped out, and families were left with nothing.

<div>My sister and her children lost everything when their home was destroyed by the storm. The roof was ripped away, their belongings were washed out, and now they have no safe place to stay. <strong>They are in urgent need of food, clean water, clothing, and shelter.</strong>
