Julianna Whites’ Handicapped Van

Hi, A dear friend of mine, Sharon Vetro White has a great granddaughter named Julianna . She is 8 years old and lives with her Mom, Victoria , 27 (Tori) in Pt Saint Lucie, Fl. Julianna also lives with sister Elizabeth. age 5.The trio reside in the home of Karen White, maternal Grandmother . Karen, 48 is medically unable to drive,handicapped and needs daily assistance.Heading up this family is Tori. Only 27 a single Mom cares for all. Assisting her daughter Julianna, born with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, she is chronologically 8, but age 2 matured . She is nonverbal , diapered and awkwardly crawls. She doesn’t watch TV and prefers to “cuddle “ with stuffed animals and play with shiny toys. She is also Autistic and has Striders Disease. Although Autistic, Julianna loves to hug and “Cuddle “ with people. Her Great Grandma Sharon Vetro White says, “ One minute with Julianna and Your in Love ❤️ “Julianna is transported daily to Bridges (PPEC )a Prescribed Paediatric Extended Care Facility. Bridges is a 35 bed Pediatric Daycare/Hospital. Staffed with primarily Specialists, Julianna receives physical and occupational therapy and has a Care Program.Bridges provides for medically fragile children to be in a safe, medically and nurturing environment where complex medical and physical issues are overseen allowing Julianna’s Mother to work part time. Tori has the responsibility of taking care of her medically handicapped Mother, Julianna and her 5 year old sister. Countless issues and problems with handling home issues and life.The Family Vehicle is a 22 years old tired conversion Van. The lift is broken and there are many issues. The Van has become dangerous to drive and is the Family’s only means of transportation.. Paramount is the Air Conditioning, which needs to be replaced, which is where all this started,Last time, Julianna rode in the Van, she was overcome with heat exhaustion, causing severe seizures that almost took her little lifeSeeking to help her great Granddaughter, Sharon Vetro White reached out to find help.Help came from the Charitable Foundation for the Greater Ft Lauderdale Board of Relators.Sharon had asked for funds to fix the 1996 Conversion Van. The mechanics for the Foundation stated the van was too dangerous to drive and would take 4x the value to fix. The Foundation vetted the White Family and Van.They generously allocated the last 2018 funds in their annual budget. Linda Gloria of the Foundation delivered the News to Sharon White of $10,000 towards the purchase of a new/used Conversion Van. The CharitableFoundation , Linda Gloria and their mechanics will assist in the final details.A new Van with Mobility Conversion System will cost out near $60,000. This Van will safely transport Julianna and her Family for years.
