Mama’s Heart

On Friday, September 21st, my dear mother, Jody Kintigh, suffered a massive heart attack as the result of a 100 percent blockage of the left anterior descending artery of her heart. Her life was saved as a result of the fast acting CPR given to her by my father and members of the Lake of the Woods Foods staff, until emergency personnel could take her to LakeWood Medical Center, and then airlift her to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.She then received excellent care from the dedicated staff working around the clock to keep my mother alive. However, it was made possible due to my mother’s drive to live because she knows that she has much left to do at the young age of 60, and plenty of family and friends that love her and want her around for a long time to come.She is recovering well.I am making this GoFundMe page totally against the wishes of my parents, in all likelihood, because they are not the type to want help financially from others. But, I know that the coming days, months and years to come with medical bills, medicine, and rehabilitation are going to put a massive financial strain on them.So, I’m asking for a small bit of help for them to ensure that they can alleviate some of that strain with a little help from the community.Any and all help would be vastly appreciated.
