Colter Steffens 27 years old. Son of Johnny and Patty Steffens, Scott City KS High School Alumni. Currently living in Mulberry Kansas.
Patty is an early childhood special educator, John a police officer, as they were in Scott City. Colter has been in University of Kansas Medical Center for over a week. He is in critical condition, the victim of frostbite as his car broke down during subzero temperatures last week and he was frozen in attempting to walk to a nearby house for help.
The family is driving from Mulberry and his sister Amanda from Webb City to be with them. As you recall, John is just recovering from a broken pelvis after being thrown from a horse in trying to round up some stray calves.
