Help Danny and Megan Kick Cancer's Butt!

Donation protected

Danny was the typical 25 year old California boy: he loves outdoors, 4-wheeling in his trucks, riding and racing dirt bikes, going to the beach. Danny met Megan in 2009, and were inseparable because of the love of outdoors, traveling and cars.

Our lives changed in 2011 when Danny found a lump on his testicle. Danny underwent surgery, and the test results came back and confirmed what the doctors thought: Testicular Cancer (Seminoma). Luckily, he found the lump early enough that the cancer did not spread past the lump. He followed the doctor's advice, preserved sperm and went through radiation treatment. Through radiation we had to sell the dirt bikes and Danny traded in his truck to help make ends meet. Everything started to pile up for us, house bills needed to be paid, medical bills were coming in and I needed to be home to help Danny with his daily routine.

On his 26th birthday, we received the news that all the test results came back clear and was cancer free, but needed to stay under surveillance. Danny proposed to me in August of 2012, and I was over the moon to marry my best friend and live happily ever after.

Danny went in for his routine check up in November when his doctor found another lump. They went through the same steps as before with all the tests and surgery. Unfortunately this time the cancer spread into his lymph node. The test results came back, this time it wasn't the same cancer coming back, it was a new cancer. The test results took longer to process because a male having Seminoma rarely develops Non-Seminoma.

This news really took a toll on us, Danny just started a new career, and had to go on leave December 1st. We had to push our wedding back due to his Chemo treatments. Danny is no longer fertile, and luckily we have sperm saved for when we are ready for a baby.
Now that Chemo is starting, and Danny isn't working, we not only need help to cover the medical bills, but we need help covering all bills. I have to work less to get him to and from doctor's appointments and to be there every step of the way. We are the last people to ask for help, but we just feel like we are drowning. Not only the bills we have now, we need help in the future. I am lucky enough to have Danny be so strong and take the twists and turns his health has given him, like a champ. His smile on his face and his faith that everything will be ok helps me through this difficult time.

Cancer didn't just affect Danny, it affected my life and it's affecting our future. It changed our plans for getting married and the future of our family. Looking into fertility treatments, the costs to have a family will put us into debt.

We appreciate any help, and just want to get our lives back on track, get married, have a family and live happily ever after.
