Sargo parapharyngeal tumor (SFN) surgery

Dear Compassionate People,

My cousin Danielle Sargo is a Single Mother of two who suffers from the debilitating condition called Small Fiber Neuropathy (SFN) that is a symptom of a parapharyngeal tumor that has to be surgically removed. This delicate procedure could lead to loss of facial muscle control, inability to talk, permanent loss of the use of one side of her face, and myriad other complications that would change her life forever.

SFN is a form of neuropathy that results from damage to the small unmyelinated peripheral nerve fibers that transmit messages to the skin, the cardiovascular system, digestive tract, and bladder, among others. The symptoms of small fiber sensory neuropathy are sensory in nature, including pins-and-needles, pricks, tingling, numbness, burning pain, and brief electric shock-like sensations. Involvement of the autonomic nerve fibers controlling the heart, digestive system, and/or bladder function is indicative of autonomic involvement.

Danielle's surgery will help control and manage her daily pain, so she and her children Ty and Reese can live Happier, Healthier, and more Joyous lives. Danielle is one of the most Compassionate, Loving, Generous, Selfless, and Amazingly Phenomenal people I know and can ever hope to know. If she were to lose even a scant amount of her dynamism or her undying hope for a better future, a more harrowing tragedy I could not imagine. My Family holds Danielle in the highest esteem and she is truly and immeasurably loved by all blessed enough to cross her path.
