A Family Needs Help After Bad News

September 11th 2018 was a terrible day for my friend and coworker Kadri and her family. Kadri and her 11 month old baby boy travelled to her distant home country of Estonia to visit her family. Kadri is married and a full time US resident, and routinely visits her childhood home a few times a per year. But this visit was different. Kadri noticed behavioral changes in her mother, Helle, and convinced her to go to the doctor for testing. Helle, a 58 year old mother, grandmother, wife, and caretaker was diagnosed with a inoperable malignant brain tumor. The news was sudden and shocking to Kadri and family, and on the very same day as her mothers diagnosis, their family dog succumb to illness and passed away. That’s a bad day.Helle and family is not new to challenges. Helle’s son (Kadri’s older brother) was dioagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type II when he was 15 and is disabled. Helle is his primary caretaker, and has helped him to recover from multiple brain surgeries over the last 10 years. Treatment for Helle will be a combination of radiation with chemotherapy. Helle has passion for helping animals and up until the diagnosis worked at the local animal shelter.Funds raised from this GoFundMe campaign will be used towards ongoing medical costs for Helle and her son, and to support the family with future financial obligations. Kadri intends to spend the majority of her time in Estonia, away from her husband and job, to help her family through this difficult time.Please help me raise funds to support this family in their time of need, anything helps.
