676 E. 49th Street Family Fire
Donation protected
On Thursday, March 8, our home at 676 E. 49th St. in Brooklyn was fire-bombed while we were inside. The arsonist was caught on camera, but is unidentified at the moment. The fire they created started in the basement boiler room and the explosion erupted throughout the entire house. We were not aware until the house was already filled with black smoke and began seeping underneath bedroom doors. We are all now displaced as the home is in an unlivable condition and all belongings were either burned or overcome by smoke/soot. All windows and doors were broken by the fire department in the process of releasing the harmful gases that consumed our home.
The house now requires fire restoration to remove the soot and smoke damage throughout, water damage services, foundation rebuild, demo and debris removal and plumbing and electrical work. Unfortunately, we were in the process of getting home insurance and did not have it at this time.
Our family comes before you, humbly. Any donation will help. We truly appreciate all prayers and support.
