Baby Ethan Caretaking Fund

Donation protected

Baby Ethan was born happy and healthy on September 13th, 2018. His first 10 days of life will completely normal. He was happy, easy going, and loved to look around at everything. Then he started with inconsolable crying. On day 12, he started vomiting and had multiple siezures. He was sent to the ER where they made multiple attempts to intubate. They were finally able to intubate him and gave him a CT scan. The scan showed multiple clots in the brain with bleeding in the brain. He was sent to the PICU for more care. Over the next couple days, multiple tests were performed. He dealt with multiple drips, seizures lasting up to 30 minutes, and multiple strokes. It was decided on September 27th that they would remove the breathing tube. He was breathing on his own; however, doctors were not sure that he would be able to swallow. But Ethan has done much better than expected. While he is breathing on his own, Ethan still has major cognitive and motor deficits. It is highly unlikely that he will walk, talk, or even be able to sit up on his own. Doctors currently want Ethan to undergo four weeks of tube feeding, then re-evaluate his swallowing to see if he can take a bottle. Ethan will require a lot of financial resourced over the next few weeks. I am setting up this go fund me for them to cover any medical costs and supplemental income for time off work.
