Bobby & Anita-Hurricane Relief Fund

This account is being created by Bobby and Anita's children and grandchildren. As most of you know they just purchased this home one month ago and was to be our parents 'final settling down home'.
Barely unpacked, "Hurricane Florence" blew through the area quickly and flooded everything. They were required by first responders to evacuate their home. Within 24 hours, "Hurricane Florence" devastated the area. The yard was covered, the fencing was completely underwater until it washed away, and Bobby's shed was filled halfway with water. Returning the next morning to see the damage, they realized they lost everything. Approximately 12 inches of water entered the house and at least 5 feet in the yard. Test results showed the water was  Category 3 which is known as "black water" containing harmful bacteria, fungi, and sickness, everything it touched, had to be thrown away. Flooring, sheet rock, insulation, doors, cabinets, appliances, along with the lower portion of the exterior siding had to be removed. The repair company had to use industrial dryers powered by the residential energy provider, running 24 hours a day and going on 13 days, insurance will not cover this bill and it will cost over a thousand dollars. With all of the research and hard work, we got the news today that insurance covers only a fraction of rebuilding, fraction of the contents inside, NO coverage for the outdoor shed containing tools, lawn mower, etc, NO coverage for the septic tank, fixing of the deck and the fence. No coverage for temporary living expenses, causing Bobby and Anita to stay apart from each other most nights of the week.
We as their daughters and grandchildren thought that they would surely be taken care of by the insurance carriers. FEMA has not declared Union County as a disaster area, so they can not receive any help from them.
People that love and care for Bobby and Anita ask daily what they can do. After discussing and praying, this gofundme page is probably the easiest way to keep everyone updated on progress. We are aiming to raise $10,000 to cover: Replacement of the Shed and the contents lost, septic tank, fixing the deck and fence, living expenses, and any other expense that will come their way that the insurance will not cover.
If you and your family find it in your heart to give any amount, please do so with our deepest thanks. No amount is too small. We prayed about this with our parents and know that we have a strong community of friends and family.
We appreciate  your concern, calls, texts, and prayers.
