Please help to support my parents in a situation many would call a parents worst nightmare.
Dennis, 31 yrs old, is a son and brother to a family who has given him nothing but support, help, and love no matter the situation. He is currently in ICU.
Dennis was first admitted into Coney Island Hospital during Labor Day weekend because of a mental break. He had also been complaining of severe migraines that his doctor completely overlooked. His doctor was the least helpful person, answering every question we had with attitude as if he could care less. We feel he wrongfully discharged Dennis two weeks later after being asked to hold him a little longer, because it was unclear what would happen. His doctor said that Dennis was “ok” and discharged him anyway.
Dennis was found unconscious a week later. He was rushed to ICU on September 20th, 2018 after having seizures caused by prescribed antidepressants. Because of the seizures, his brain was not receiving enough oxygen and he slipped into a coma. Since then, Dennis has only gotten worse. He has a cerebral edema throughout the whole brain, along with hemorrhages, and cerebral herniation. Doctors at Methodist hospital are doing everything possible but my brother’s condition is not improving. He is hooked up to a ventilator because he cannot breathe on his own. He’s had multiple strokes, along with many minor seizures.
Since my parents found out that their son is in the hospital, they’ve been there with him, by his side around the clock; they are unable to return to work. I’d like to help them by raising some money. No donation is too small, and is highly appreciated.
