Caring For Moriaantje And Cavaron

This is the story of a lovely, caring Friesian mare, who, above all, wanted a foal who would live to become a grown horse.

When first I met Moriaantje, I had been working with horses for 15 years, but still, I was a bit frightened by them. Being big and strong creatures you have to keep your wits about you, handling them. But Moriaantje taught me to relax and become one of the heard, and I let go of my fear. Now I have been taking care of her for more than three years, and when she was asked if she wanted a foal, she accepted my pledge and said yes. Because all of her previous foals have died or had accidents happen to them.

When the owner bought her it was with a clause that she, the previous owner, should have a filly foal of her. They tried three times, and three times she did not take. Then I came into the picture. I asked Moriaantje why she didn't want to have a foal and she told me they all died. So I promised her I would do all in my power to help her in raising a foal, and would she then have one? And she answered clearly, YES. She put her trust in me, and together we did it. This beautiful Friesian stallion foal was born on the 13th of may 2018. I'll tell you all about it, but in an update, how it all went about. Its a beautiful story in itself.

But things have changed, in my life, and in the owner's life. No, I don't own Moriaantje, I take care of her. I am out of work and the owner can not take the horse back because of a shortage of grass, due too the severe drought in Norway this summer, and Moriaantje had a foal. So now I take care of them both, but I don't have the money for it.

I am spending my last coins on my writing career, betting it all on the translations of my novels into English, to reach all of you awesome people out there who can not read Norwegian. I'm a self-publisher, an Indie-writer, with two great novels from medieval Norse rule in the Hebrides during the thirteenth century.

And I'm spending my last cents on these two wonderful horses, who, above all, have taught me so much about trust.

If the horses are sold it would break my heart. I promised Moriaantje she could stay with her son, Grand Cavaron, and that I would help her raise him into a fine and honest horse. But now it looks as if I must break my promise to her. I don't sell enough books to raise the money for keeping them, I'm too old to get a new job, and too young to get my pension. It really is a tough time, but I keep up the good work of training her, and handling him, into becoming good riding and driving horses. Every penny you give to my cause will be spent on the welfare of these two beautiful horses throughout the winter. It will help secure that they can continue to stay at this wonderful place, where they have all the hay they can eat. Spring water all year round. A stable to rest out in when winter becomes too tough.  a veterinarian should they catch a cold or get sick, and for the farrier when shoes need changing.

But the need for support is imminent, and every day its likely that the horses will be sold and taken out of my life, and my promise to Moriaantje will be broken. I have funds for two months only and then I
get in debt to the owner of the stable, if the horses are not sold by then. And I so want to keep my promise to Moriaantje.

If You decide to support my cause I will be ever grateful to You. You are even awesome to have read so far, and I will give You a gift for being so kind to support my cause. I will give You my first Novel as a Thank You. I only need Your email address, and You can leave it on my website at this  address: http://www.sogesmia.no/httpswwwsubscribepagecomsogesmiano
