USCG K-9 Tommy

We didn’t get the good news we were hoping for... It’s with a heavy heart that we must report that retired USCG K9 Tommy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. The cancer is affecting his liver and spleen and there is little treatment options. We spoke with his handler and and his family’s goal is to keep him comfy and happy until Tommy let’s him know it’s time. USCG K-9 Tommy retired after serving over 9 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was stationed at U.S. Coast Guard MSST New York and MSST Kings Bay. Tommy and his handler successfully conducted hundreds of operational missions in cities and ports across the country ensuring the safety and security of our nation. Our goal is to assist Tommy’s family with his emergency medical expenses and follow care to give him the best quality of life in the coming days. USCG K-9 Unofficial
