Mission To Gaza (4)

In November 2018, I will again be traveling to Gaza, Palestine, to work with The Little Wings Foundation, alongside the PCRF (Palestine Children's Relief Fund) to take part in their annual mission to perform Orthopeadic surgery on some of the worlds most needy children. Over the course of a week, we will first triage hundreds of children, then perform Orthopaedic surgery to heal their physical injuries and deformities; either congenital ailments or those caused by the trauma of war. The Little Wings Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization, which has been set up by one of the Middle East's prominent paediatric orthopaedic surgeons. The foundation is dedicated to providing medical assistance to children, living in the Middle East and North Africa, who have musculoskeletal deformities.The Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) is a non-political, non-profit organization dedicated to healing the wounds of war, occupation and poverty for children in the Middle East, regardless of their nationality, religion, race or gender. In November 2015, 2016 and 2017, I traveled with The Little Wings Foundation team to Gaza, Palestine. In November 2012, I participated in a mission to Ramallah, Plaestine. These missions were the most challenging, heart warming, heart breaking and rewarding experiences I have had in my life. Helping underprivileged children is the one thing I know I was put on this earth to do.. I was blessed with a wonderful life, given the opportunity to study and given nursing skills to use to help those in need. Over the next few weeks, I will be aiming to fundraise $3000 (AUD) by November 10th, to pay for my flights to Dubai and extra luggage to transport medical equipment.
